Today, the winery is run by Pascal and Fabrice, who continue the traditional practices their late father Pierre established over a century ago. Agrapart & Fils is renowned for producing genuinely handmade wines, from hand riddling each bottle to utilizing a plow horse in the vineyard. Their hard work is evident in each unique cuvee they create, which showcases the true essence of Champagne winemaking.
One of the key elements that sets Agrapart & Fils apart is their use of terroir-driven winemaking. Pascal considers the three main terroirs of Avize - the top of the hill (L’Avizoise), the middle of the hill (Cuvee Venus), and the lower part of the hill (Cuvee Mineral) - to be the most prized bottlings. Each wine is crafted the same way to emphasize the difference between each terroir, and very little or no dosage is used to finish the wines. The lower part of the hill produces the brightest and most electric expression, while the top of the hill makes for the most powerful and rich cuvee.
By utilizing the unique terroir of their vineyard and handpicking their grapes, the winery is able to produce exceptional Champagnes that are truly unique and offer a delightful and memorable drinking experience. The winery's commitment to quality and the art of winemaking is evident in every bottle they produce, making them a standout in the Champagne industry.
