2010 Domaine Bernard Moreau et Fils Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Maltroie #158027464
Reviews 93 points Wine Advocate "The 2010 Chassagne-Montrachet Maltroie wraps around the palate with layers of expressive, silky fruit. Pears, white flowers and flint all take shape in the glass. The Maltroie impresses for its fabulous length, and poised, centered personality. Saline notes mark the intense, mineral-drenched finish. This is a fabulous showing. (AG)" 92 points John Gilman "Domaine Bernard Moreau et Fils) The 2010 Maltroie is very refined out of the blocks this year, jumping from the glass in a superb melange of apple, fresh pear, lemon zest, chalky minerality, citrus blossoms and vanillin oak. Often this wine will be quite stony in personality at this early stage, but this year the expression of underlying soil is strikingly refined and much more chalky than I am accustomed to. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and exuding elegance on the attack, with a great core of fruit, lovely acids, and excellent focus and balance on the very long, bright and seamless finish. A beautiful Maltroie. (JG)"
