Vinification in barrel gives the Expression much of its burnished, voluptuous personality, while the non-dosage style keeps the flavors fresh. As much wine as it is Champagne, the Expression does not taste all that differently than the vins clairs do right out of barrel. There is a translucent weightlessness here that is hugely appealing.
