Reviews 91-93 points Wine Advocate "Unwinding in the glass with aromas of raspberries, cherries, sweet spices, rose petals and forest floor, the 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Murgers is medium to full-bodied, concentrated and lively, with a deep, layered, elegantly muscular profile and a long, penetrating finish. (WK)" 91-93 points Burghound "Riper yet still quite fresh aromas consist mainly of plum liqueur, earth, spice elements and a whiff of the sauvage. The suave, round and solidly concentrated medium-bodied flavors possess very good size, weight and power while delivering fine length on the balanced finale that is partially shaped by bright acidity. While there is clearly the requisite stuffing to reward extended keeping, this should also drink reasonably well young. (AM)"

About Alain Hudelot-Noellat

For generations, the Hudelot-Noellat family has been a leading producer of elevated Burgundy wines, and Alain Hudelot-Noellat is no exception. With a focus on quality, terroir, and elegance, their wines are recognized by critics and collectors as some of the best from their appellation.

The domaine's spectacular old vine holdings include some of the most prestigious appellations in Burgundy, such as Richebourg, Romanee Saint Vivant, Bonnes Mares, and Clos de Vougeot. Several of their vineyards are over 100 years old, contributing to the wine's complexity, power, and finesse.

When Neal Martin of The Wine Advocate first visited the domaine in 2013, he was absolutely blown away by their wines. He described them as "clean, pure, weightless yet intense, adroitly expressing their terroirs with style and honesty, whether that is his delicious Bourgogne Passetoutgrain (one of the best I have tasted) or a sublime Bonnes-Mares, his sole grand cru."

But what really sets Alain Hudelot-Noellat's wines apart is their commitment to quality. From the moment the grapes are picked to the moment the wine is bottled, every step of the winemaking process is carefully controlled and monitored. This meticulous attention to detail ensures that each bottle of wine is of the highest possible quality.
