Bernard Faurie

Bernard Faurie is a master winemaker known for producing exceptional and soulful wines in the Hermitage region of France. Bernard is a fifth-generation winemaker who works with vines over 100 years old, sourced from the prized old vineyards located on the granite bedrock of the western hill of Hermitage. The grapes come from three distinct parcels: Greffieux, Bessards, and Meal, two of which are among the most legendary plots of the hill.

The color of the capsule on the wine bottle designates each single vineyard wine. The cream capsule represents the Greffieux/Bessards blend, the red capsule represents Bessards, the gold capsule represents Bessards/Meal and Meal, and the gold capsule with a unique lot number represents the blend of Greffieux/Bessards/Meal. These old vines produce grapes with deep, intense flavors and result in rich, complex wines that are truly remarkable.
