The late Didier was inspired by Burgundy and sought to find the most exceptional terroirs in the Loire, acquiring several premium sites in Sancerre, including his three prized vineyards in Pouilly-Fume: En Chailloux, Pur Sang, and the world-famous Silex.

Silex is the most revered wine in Didier's lineup, having recently been deemed a "Wine Legend" by Decanter Magazine. Didier believed that the flinty clay soils of Silex provided the greatest terroir in the appellation, and its current cult status supports this claim.
