Emmanuel Houillon and Pierre Overnoy make natural wines in Jura, France.

About Emmanuel Houillon (Maison Pierre Overnoy)

Emmanuel Houillon, the winemaker at Maison Pierre Overnoy, is preserving the legacy of Pierre Overnoy, who took over 2.5 hectares of vineyards in Pupillin, near Arbois, in 1968. The wines produced by Maison Pierre Overnoy are known for their singularity and complexity, embodying the essence of Jura's terroir.

Emmanuel's hands-on approach to the winemaking process sets him apart from other winemakers. He takes great care in selecting only the finest grapes from his vineyards and ferments and ages the wines in oak barrels to impart depth and richness to the flavors. By embracing oxidation, Emmanuel is able to bring out the rich, nutty flavors in his wines, resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind experience.

In addition to his exceptional winemaking skills, Emmanuel is also known for his strict quality control measures. He and Pierre only release a wine when they deem it is ready to drink, ensuring that each bottle is of the highest quality. This commitment to quality has earned Maison Pierre Overnoy a reputation for producing some of the best wines in the Jura region.
