Reviews 94 points Wine Advocate "Bursting from the glass with aromas of toasted sesame, pastry cream, ripe pears, vanilla pod and clear honey, Coche's 2009 Meursault Les Rougeots is medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, with fine depth and concentration at the core, ripe acids and a charming, gourmand profile. Demonstrative rather than intellectual, the 2009 Rougeots continues to drink beautifully. (WK)" 94 points Vinous "Deep but bright aromas of crushed stone and cherry-almond. Fat and opulent; stuffed with soft citrus, spice and stone flavors. A wine of impressive volume, power and fullness but rather backward today. Finishes with lovely balance and superb length." (ST) " 18 points Jancis Robinson , " Pale gold with a strong greenish tinge. Really quite rich on the nose with strong savoury actually almost salted buttery, notes. Definitely more obviously evolved than most vintages of Coche-Dury. Pure and powerful. Very smooth and satin-textured. Much broader than most wines from this domaine. Long. Only very lightly struck match-scented. "(JR)"

About Coche-Dury

Domaine Coche-Dury is unequivocally one of the finest estates in Meursault, and one of the most celebrated names in Burgundy. Known for their world-class and age-worthy whites, as well as their highly underrated and infinitely surprising reds, the Domaine is synonymous with outstanding quality. While the Coche family has been making wine in and around Meursault since the 1920s, Jean-François may be the family’s most celebrated member, gracing the label with his wife’s last name, Dury, and raising the Domaine to cult status.

Since 2010, Raphaël Coche and his wife, Charline, have been at the helm of the estate. Following in the family tradition, they farm sustainably, with many of their nine hectares from non-clonal old-vine vineyards throughout Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Auxey-Duresses, Monthélie and Volnay. In the cellar, Raphaël and Charline embrace Coche-Dury’s signature reductive style - where long, traditional vinifications, extended lees contact, and new-oak aging produce vibrant, sumptuous wines.

With only about 4,000 cases produced every year, these are some of the most rare and highly sought after wines in the world.
