As is the case with the marvelous Morgeot, the 2012 Grandes Ruchottes beautifully synthesizes concentration and elegance in its aromatic constellation of pear, tangerine, a dollop of iodine, a beautifully complex base of minerality, white flowers, lemon oil and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very, very suave on the attack, with a great core, striking mineral drive and huge backend energy on the laser-like and very, very long and racy finish.
