Reviews 96 points Wine Advocate "The 2017 Entre Deux Bleus Savagnin that I had tasted in barrel in 2019 delivered in bottle all that sample promised. It has an incredible nose, similar to the 2016 I've had the luck to drink a number of times, and is incredibly perfumed, with notes of apricots and medlar, sleek and ultra-balanced, with great purity. 2017 was low yielding, and the wines were concentrated from the low yields and a warm end of the season; so, the wine is a little riper than the 2016, but it has lots of energy. (LG)" 92 points Vinous "...Entre Deux Mers comes from 60-year-old Savagnin vines, direct pressed and aged for 24 months in used oak barrels with no sulfur added and minimal topping. Pale amber, slightly burnished in color, it has a complex nose: hazelnut, lemon/orange rind and smoked walnuts, the oxidative element present but not overpowering, a flor-like tinge in the background. It actually gains delineation in the glass. The palate is balanced, with the oxidation nicely controlled again, fresh and tangy with Seville orange marmalade. Its nutty elements come to the fore toward the finish... (NM)"

Kenjiro Kagami in his vineyard

About Domaine des Miroirs (Kenjiro Kagami)

Domaine des Miroirs is a winery steeped in both myth and legend, thanks in large part to the incredible journey of its owner and winemaker, Kenjiro Kagami. Long before the domaine debuted with its tiny 2011 vintage, Kagami was already a well-known figure in the wine world. As an ex-Hitachi engineer, he left his native Japan in the late 90s to pursue his passion for winemaking, studying in Beaune and eventually working with some of the greatest names in the natural wine movement, including Thierry Allemand, Bruno Schueller, and Jean-François Ganevat.

It was Ganevat who ultimately helped Kagami find the perfect plot of land in the tiny village of Grusse, near Rotalier, where he would establish his own winery. Today, Domaine des Miroirs works on just 3 hectares of vines, producing roughly 500 cases per year.

Kagami's winemaking philosophy is deeply influenced by his extensive experience in some of the greatest cellars in France. He takes a minimalist approach to winemaking, allowing the terroir of each vineyard to speak for itself. His commitment to quality and tradition is reflected in every bottle, and the name Miroirs - a play on his own name in Japanese - serves as a testament to the mirror-like relationship between himself, his wines, and the terroir of his vineyards.
