Maraschino cherries commingle with orange zest, crushed stone and violet, though with aeration it coheres nicely, gaining statue. The palate is medium-bodied, with a slightly confit-like entry in which black cherries mix with raspberry and orange rind. It is very well detailed on the finish with a lingering aftertaste that has wondrous sapidity. There is fine richness and volume to the broad-shouldered and notably more mineral-driven flavors that terminate in a balanced, serious and very firmly structured finale. However, this is so rich and blessed with an abundance of dry extract that if you're in a hurry, the 2019 Chambertin could be approached after 7 to 8 years. (AM)"
