Domaine Duroche, run by fifth generation Pierre, has catapulted in popularity over the past two decades.

About Domaine Duroche

Domaine Duroche is a winery with a rich history, having first bottled their wines in 1933. However, it wasn't until fifth-generation winemaker Pierre Duroche took over in 2005 that the winery really gained recognition for the exceptional quality of their wines. Despite having only 8.25 hectares of vineyards spread across village, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru appellations in Gevrey Chambertin, the wines from Domaine Duroche are considered by critics to be some of the best in their respective vineyards.

The Wine Advocate has given high praise to the wines of Domaine Duroche, with notes such as "One sniff and you'll be hooked," "What a wonderful rarity...I wish you all the best in finding a bottle", and "Nothing short of outstanding." While these accolades are directed towards the winery's most prized bottlings, the critics also consistently highlight the village level wines, noting their excellent quality and their ability to punch above their weight as a village cru.

Domaine Duroche's Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux St Jacques Vignes 23 is highly recommended for those looking to try a truly unique wine. Made exclusively from vines planted in 1923, this wine showcases the exceptional quality and character that has earned Domaine Duroche its recognition as a top producer in the Gevrey Chambertin region.
