The wine shows some lovely red fruity shadings in the bouquet, offering up scents of red and black cherries, smoked meats, a beautiful base of dark soil tones, cloves, roses, cedar and plenty of upper register smokiness. On the palate the wine is deep, plush and full-bodied, with a superb core of fruit, ripe, seamless tannins, fine focus and grip and a long, complex and classy finish. (JG)"
