Michel Fallon crafts some of the most coveted Champagnes in the world, drawing upon his thirty-year tenure as cellar master for the legendary Anselme Selosse. Fallon’s flagship wine, Ozanne, is a 100% Grand Cru Chardonnay from Avize, vinified and aged in Selosse’s cellar using traditional oxidative techniques. This Blanc de Blancs Champagne is made using a solera system, blending ten vintages, with each bottle embodying layers of complexity and vitality. Production is incredibly limited, with only around 1,000 bottles produced annually.
Fallon’s meticulous approach follows organic and biodynamic principles, focusing on the natural expression of the vineyard. Native yeast fermentation and long aging on the lees contribute to the wine’s remarkable texture and precision. The resulting Champagne exhibits a striking balance of oxidative richness, freshness, and energy—attributes that are deeply reminiscent of Selosse’s style, but with Fallon’s own refined touch.
In 2023, Fallon introduced a second label, Brigitte Fallon, made from Avize grapes and other Grand Cru fruit, marking a significant expansion while maintaining his hallmark craftsmanship.
