NV Pierre Peters Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut Cuvee de Reserve #155840960
Reviews 92 points John Gilman "(Based off of the 2018 base) The wine delivers a refined bouquet of pear, delicious apple, fresh-baked bread, a fine base of limestone minerality and a topnote of fresh almond. On the palate the wine is young, bright and full, with a superb core of fruit, excellent mineral drive and cut, pinpoint bubbles and a long, beautifully balanced and nascently complex finish. This is a young wine and really deserves at least a few years in the cellar to allow its acids to relax a bit more and the secondary layers of complexity to emerge. It should prove to be a long-lived bottle of non-vintage and will be hitting on all cylinders if given three to five years’ worth of bottle age- though it is certainly quite tasty in its youth. (JG)"

About Pierre Peters
What sets Pierre Peters apart from their more expensive competitors is their unique clone of Chardonnay. This, combined with the east-facing hillside vineyards and chalky soils, allows for the production of wines with complex notes of exotic fruit, coffee, walnut, and butterscotch. I highly recommend aging these bottles for up to 25 years to fully experience the evolution of flavors. With a limited production of only 13,000 cases per year, be sure to keep an eye out for their most prized bottling, "Cuvee Speciale Les Chetillons," for a truly sensational and elegant Champagne experience.
